MENU DESIGN
Ardor Bread & Provisions was first opened as a wood-fired bakery & cafe in 2020 by chef Cody Scogin and a small team. It has since grown into a blooming business in Downtown Peoria and is now a two-story restaurant serving breakfast/brunch, and dinner with a cross-cultural, farm-to-table menu paired with thoughtfully curated cocktails and wine. A place full of constantly new & exciting ideas (and tastes!), it is a remarkable example of what Peoria currently grows towards.
The upstairs bar originally opened under a separate name but more recently was reincorporated with the restaurant. To encourage business in the bar, Ardor started a happy hour featuring discounted drinks and later introduced a curated “bites” menu to pair with it, for guests to have something to snack on. The bites menu uses a simple typographic layout that matches the drink and dinner menus. It uses the existing Ardor blue and Goudy Old Style typeface, relying on font styles and color to create hierarchy and emphasize where needed.
